Dark is part of a series of artworks inspired by Netflix Original films and series. The artwork combines contemporary Delft Blue ornamentation with cinematic storytelling, using mixed-media techniques and the painterly language of magical realism.

The Netflix series Dark follows characters connected through time travel and hidden mysteries. Inspired by the show’s symbolism and atmospheric scenes, the artwork explores themes of time and fate, featuring a composition crowned with a Trinity knot, or triquetra.
The fantastic sci-fi world and aesthetic were inspired by Albrecht Dürer and Lucas Cranach the Elder.
